Bob Woodworth

Coach Woodworth grew up in Castle Rock, Washington and graduated from Eastern Washington College in 1949. His first coaching job was a four-year stint in Wilson Creek, Washington.

In 1953 he moved to Quincy, Washington and coached for 19 years. Jim Spence, a former player and assistant coach succeeded him in 1973. In 1977, he coached the Quincy High School Girls Basketball team until his retirement in 1979.

Coach Woodworth had an uncanny ability to analyze the opposing teams’ offense and defense and then direct his teams to take advantage of any weakness. Ask any opposing coach who they most feared facing a second time and they would almost unanimously respond, “Bob Woodworth of Quincy.

Bob is married to wife Barbara, who he met while attending Eastern. They have three sons, Don, Bruce and Mark. Bob now spends most of his time on the Golf course.
